On-Campus Housing To apply for university dormitory accommodation during your visit, please submit your request in advance. The department office will assist in checking room availability. If no rooms are available, scholars are responsible for arranging their own housing. 2. Research Space Requirement of a research space, please consult with your departmental host first to confirm availability. If no space is available within the department, we may assist in applying for a research space through the College or University Library (fees may apply). 3. Academic Affiliation When presenting, attending, or participating in academic activities during your visit, please include the title “Visiting Scholar, Department of Diplomacy” in addition to your original affiliation. 4. Academic Participation Visiting scholars are expected to deliver at least one lecture or participate in an academic seminar per semester organized by the department during their stay. 5. Departmental Support The department may assist with the following: Airport pickup and drop-off Dormitory application Library card application Other support as needed 6. Campus Wi-Fi Access Your campus Wi-Fi account and password will be provided via email by the department office. 7. Visiting scholar, David Gorombolyi (陽大衛) has registered on March 2nd, 2026. He is a Hungarian scholar who is a doctoral candidate at the Corvinus University, Budapest, Hungary. Mr. Gorombolyi's research period in Taiwan is from March to June, at the Department of Diplomacy, National Chengchi University. His research topic is "International NGOs in Taiwan in the Web 2.0 Era an Overview through the Lens of Digital Diplomacy".

Visiting scholar, Müge Yüce (俞牧歌) has registered on February 23rd, 2026. She is a Turkish scholar who is an associate professor at the Ataturk University, Turkey. Prof. Yüce's research period in Taiwan is from February to August, at the Department of Diplomacy, National Chengchi University. Her research topic is "Maintaining Diplomacy in a Digitalizing World: An Analysis of Taiwan's Digital Diplomacy as a Role Model".

Visiting scholar, Elizabeth Larus has registered at Center for Chinese Studies on February 9, 2025. She is an American scholar who is a senior researcher at the Pacific Forum, USA. Dr. Larus' research period in Taiwan is from February to May, at the Department of Diplomacy, College of International Affairs, National Chengchi University. Her research topic is "Civil Defense and Emergency Preparedness in the Face of China's Aggression ".

Visiting scholar, Andreea Budeanu (柏安安) has registered  on February 9, 2026. She is a French scholar who is a post doctorial researcher at the Center for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy, VUB Brussels University, Belgium. She is also a scholar of Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the French  Research Institute on East Asia (IFRAE). Dr. Budeanu's research period in Taiwan is from February to June, at the Department of Diplomacy, National Chengchi University. Her research topic is "Europe in Taiwan's Technological Power Imaginary: A Study of Perception Genesis and (mis)Match with EU Self-Image (2016-2025)".

Visiting scholar, Manoj Kumar Panigrahi (潘孟吉) has registered on January 8, 2025. He is an Indian scholar who is an associate researcher at OP Jindal Global University, India. Prof. Panigrahi's research period in Taiwan is from January to December, at the Department of Diplomacy, College of International Affairs, National Chengchi University. His research topic is "Cross-Strait Dynamics: India's Engagement in the Region".

According to the announcement from the Personnel Office, January 2, 2026 (Fri.) and February 13, 2026 (Fri.) are winter holidays for NCCU. The Lunar New Year holiday will be from February 14, 2026 (Sat.) to February 22, 2026 (Sun.). During these periods, the office will be closed.
