Guidelines for Visiting Scholars
Department of Diplomacy, National Chengchi University
To ensure a smooth and productive academic visit, the following guidelines apply to all visiting scholars affiliated with the Department of Diplomacy:
1. On-Campus Housing
To apply for university dormitory accommodation during your visit, please submit your request in advance.
The department office will assist in checking room availability. If no rooms are available, scholars are responsible for arranging their own housing.
2. Research Space
Requirement of a research space, please consult with your departmental host first to confirm availability.
If no space is available within the department, we may assist in applying for a research space through the College or University Library (fees may apply).
3. Academic Affiliation
When presenting, attending, or participating in academic activities during your visit, please include the title “Visiting Scholar, Department of Diplomacy” in addition to your original affiliation.
4. Academic Participation
Visiting scholars are expected to deliver at least one lecture or participate in an academic seminar per semester organized by the department during their stay.
5. Departmental Support
The department may assist with the following:
Airport pickup and drop-off
Dormitory application
Library card application
Other support as needed
6. Campus Wi-Fi Access
Your campus Wi-Fi account and password will be provided via email by the department office.
7. Website Profile
The department will publish basic information about visiting scholars on our official website.
