Call for Papers (English)

The Department of Diplomacy and Center for Modern Japan Studies invite graduate students in the field of international relations to present at the 13th National Graduate Conference. The conference will be held on November 2nd, 2019. The conference theme this year is “Revisiting the changes of global political and economic order”.

This Conference aims to provide a forum for graduate students to exchange research ideas and results. This is a great opportunity for young researchers to present their ongoing projects to their fellow students as well as to the scholars in the field of international relations. Papers from IR-related fields and Japan studies  are welcome. The submission deadline is September 27th, 2019. Please fill in your information and an abstract of 500 words in the registration form and send it to dipcon@nccu.edu.tw. You may also submit a complete research proposal. The conference executive committee will review your registration and inform our decision. Accepted papers will be included in conference agenda. To finish registration, the presenter will need to wire security deposit to the conference account. Deadline for the conference paper is October 16th.

Deadline of submitting security deposit:  October 4th, 2019

Deadline of paper submission: October 16th , 2019

Registration Guidelines:

1.      Graduate students only: MA or Ph.D. students enrolled in universities.

2.      The theme of the paper is related to international relations

3.      Abstract words limit: 500 words in English

4.      Please fill out the registration forms (including the abstract) and submit via email: dipcon@nccu.edu.tw You may also submit a research proposal.

5.      Once we accept your paper, please submit a security deposit of NTD 500 to the conference account (post office code 700, account 00027170588782). We will return the deposit after the presentation. Security deposit will not be returned if the presenter withdraws from the panel due to personal reason.

6.      In order to give the discussant sufficient time for to review your paper, please submit the conference paper before October 16th. The maximum length is 12,000 words. Please follow the Chicago Manual of Style (Author-Date system).
